If you have had your password to your account compromised (cracked/stolen) these are the steps to gain access to your account again, as long as they are completed within 7 days you will get your account back.
Please remember to ALWAYS keep your password and user ID safe, no member of Nostale staff (Admin/GM even Gameforge) will ever ask you for your password. Don't give your details to anyone - or answer any questions which may mean your e-mail account security (secret question) is compromised.
- If you have received an e-Mail telling you the following
Hello {user ID}!
The email address of your NosTale-Account has been changed.
The new email address will become permanent 7 days after you execute the link, which was been sent to your new email address:
{new@emailaddress.com}
This change can be revoked by logging in to the Homepage within 7 days and pressing the 'Abort' button under your user data.
Go to http://www.nostale.co.uk and sign in, simply click Change e-Mail and it will show something like below (the bold part is the time length until the e-mail is officially changed).

- If you cannot login due to your password being changed, so you cannot click the "Abort" , you can click the "Forgot Password?" on the main page.

Enter your User ID and Original e-Mail address (to which you got the e-Mail from nostale telling you your e-Mail address has changed) after this is correctly entered, you then will receive a link to click to allow you to change your password, After clicking link, you will receive an e-Mail with your new automated password and will be able to login to abort the e-Mail address change.
Note: Don't worry your NEW password will be sent to the original e-Mail address (yours NOT the person who compromised your account).
- If they have deleted your account you can login and abort this action by clicking on "Delete Account" then "Abort", you have within 7 days to stop it.

- Now you are able to login check to see if they have deleted any of your characters, if they have please contact one of the Game Admins (you can find them listed here), Stating your user ID, character names (which were deleted) and date approx of when deletion occurred.
- If you notice missing items please contact one of the Game Admins (Team Page) Stating your user ID, what was lost , character names (which lost the item from) and date when item(s) were stolen/deleted/lost.

Please Note: If the above is not completed within 7 days your account will be forever lost, and will never be returned.
Remember: Most compromised accounts are due to players foolishly giving their user ID and password out to ingame friends or real life.
