<PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE GUIDE FULLY AND TRY EVERYTHING BEFORE REPLYING WITH YOUR OUTCOME>

<I also recommend doing them one at a time and trying to Patch again after doing each step, so you know what your problem was>.

I've done some major digging and anyone with a problem Patching the game after an Update should try this:

1.* Open My Computer > Local Disc (C:/) > Program Files > Nostale(UK) > "Right Click Properties > Uncheck the "Read Only" Box .

Then do this:

2.* Open My Computer > Local Disc (C:/) > Program Files > Nostale(UK) > "Right Click Properties > Security Tab > Click Edit > "Go through them all and check the box that says "Full Control" for each of those users. i.e:
CREATOR OWNER > Check "Full Control"
SYSTEM > Check "Full Control"
etc.

Then Click Apply.
Wait for it to make you the owner of all the files.
After this its best to restart your computer but you don't really need to.
It's suggested though.

After that try re-patching the game, remember it takes a few minutes.
I've found that this is a very good and almost guaranteed way of fixing the Patch Problems.
3.* If you cannot see the security tab read the following:

Now I know for some of you that the stuff in bold might be different because you installed Nostale on a HDD with a different drive letter, so just go to where you installed Nostale and do what I say .

This Guide is like V 2.3 now. And is around final. I doubt I will make any more adjustments to it.

Lots of people will find that they don't have write access to the folder because its:

A) New.
B) They are not an Admin.

Secondly most/all programs i.e Nostale's Loader/Updater don't have write access to this location.
Meaning the update will be downloaded (hence the waiting time)
but not written over the files that are old and need to be replaced.

Thats why you need to do what I said.
Like I also said thats maybe only 33% of the full guide.
I will write the rest after doing more digging/having a good nights sleep.

Yes thats normal of you don't have Vista I'm pretty sure and also because you proberly just turned it on.
Also did you just open the window and then restart or did you check all the boxes.

What version of windows are you using?

Home or Pro please be specific.
I cannot help right away because I am on the phone atm sorry.
But remember you only need to do this if your getting errors with patching. You don't want to do this when everything is fine because it would be a waste of time and you might mess up.
